Kate Moss: My Rules For Style, Hair … and Tan Lines
After more than 20 years as one of the most in-demand models in the business, it’s no surprise that Kate Moss has some hard-and-fast style rules she lives by. What’s more surprising is that she’s willing to share them.
Rule No. 1: No sweats. “I try to be a little bit chic,” she says in the August issue of Allure. “I wouldn’t wear sweatpants. I wouldn’t wear twinsets.”
What else won’t she wear? Well, a bikini top when it’s not absolutely necessary — she’s not into tan lines. “I don’t mind a bikini bottom,” she shares. “My husband likes lines on the bum. Men like white bums. I try not to have a white boob.”
Also a must: “Always clean hair. That’s a must. If in doubt, wash it.” Interesting coming from the onetime face of the “heroin chic” model movement — though she disavows that as well. “The heroin, I was like, ‘Oh, its just ridiculous. I don’t do heroin. Just because I wear a bit of black eyeliner that’s smudged!’”
The supermodel is candid on a number of subjects, from her past relationship with Johnny Depp (“Never complain. Never explain.”) to raising her daughter, Lila.
