Is it normal for my daughter to be two years old and not talking?

Some of the milestones expected of two year old’s include combing two words together, having a vocabulary of about 50 words, relating personal experiences, and following two-step commands such as “touch your nose and then your mouth.” Their understanding of new words grows rapidly at this age. If your toddler does not demonstrate these skills, they should seek a referral to a speech pathologist.
