What makes me a Miss O GOTM? I received the lead in school musical! Last year, in about early October, our school had auditions for the annual 8th grade Christmas play, “The Villain and the Toyshop”. We had to memorize a short song and a small scene from the play. I had studied for weeks and I really wanted the lead role. On the day of the auditions, I was unfortunately sick. I tried my best to pursue the auditions and I thought I did terrible! I went home crying to my mom about how bad I did. She told me not to worry and everything would be okay. The next day, the final cast list was posted. I started at the bottom of the list and worked my way up when I saw my name listed next to the lead role. I was ecstatic! I started jumping up and down and screamed! I ran to the directors and I said, “Thank you so much for giving me the role of Caroline! But what made you think that I was good enough?” They said back to me “You deserved this role! You are very talented and even though you were sick, we saw your potential.” I went home with a smile on my face and a lot of confidence. The play was a success and it just proves, never doubt yourself and stay confident!
