Caring for your kids while working full time

How do you manage your work life with your family life? Do you have a babysitter, a nanny, use daycare when you are at the office? I’ve done them all!

When my kids were little I was able to drop them off at daycare or use the after school programs. Once I got a more demanding job that required me to commute into NYC and work long hours, I hired a live-in nanny. It took the pressure off of racing home, but it takes a bit of time to get used to someone living in your house. It’s like having an older daughter, which, sometimes you’re not ready for yet.

Once the girls got older, I had a sitter come in for the day, clean the house, do laundry and be available to drive them to after school activities. I truly have been though it all, so feel free to ask me any questions you have about what might be the right solution for your family.
